         Time flies what? well, we don't know. Thus, "to fly" is not a transitive verb.

    2. In France, cooking is a serious art form and a national sport.        -Julia Child
     Cooking is what?  a serious art form... Thus, "to be" is a transitive verb.

    3. My aunt speaks a perfect Russian.
     My aunt speaks what?  a perfect Russian. Thus, "to speak" is a transitive verb.

    4. You show me a capitalist and I will show you a bloodsucker.        -Malcom X
      You show me what?  a capitalist. Thus, "to show" is a transitive verb.
        I will show you what?  a bloodsucker. Thus, "to show" is a transitive verb.

    5. Money talks.
     Money talks what? well, we don't know. Thus, "to talk" is not a transitive verb.

    6. Last night, she flew to Europe.
      She flew what? to Europe. This does not make sense. Thus, "to fly" is not a transitive verb.
