But what is the key to comprehending what you Read????

Answer:Vocabulary Knowledge

In order for a student to read with complete understanding, he or she should
be able to correctly define the words in the written passage.

The most common way to do this is to use a dictionary.
But, what if you don't have a dictionary???

Then, you can use CONTEXT CLUES!!

*Context Clues  are words within a sentence or paragraph that hint
to the meaning of an unknown word.

There are 4 types of Context Clues:

(1)Definition
                 (2)Example
                                        (3)Contrast
                                                                 (4)Inference

If there are no context clues available within a sentence, then feel free to use the good old-fashioned DICTIONARY!!!
