This is the personal web page of Patricia George, English major at the University of the District of Columbia, and peer tutor at the same university. I plan to teach English at the secondary level after graduating from college.

My father was in the military, so I lived in several states, starting with Pennsylvania, where I was born, Kansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, and finally Southern California, where I lived for a number of years before coming to Washington, D.C.

I studied at Aquinas high school in San Bernardino, California. It can be located at www.aquinashs.net . The college that I attended, and at which I received my bachelor's degree in Psychology and master's degree in Education with a counseling specialty, was Cal State University at San Bernardino. I speak Spanish as a second language, and once spent a month in Costa Rica studying Spanish. Next summer, after I finish student teaching, I am planning to go back to Costa Rica again to study Spanish. One site that I have found helpful is at http://www.isls.com
This is a Spanish language school system located in Costa Rica which helps refer people to Spanish language schools in the area.

 Academically, I am finding it much easier to go back to school than I originally thought. I just received an academic award for having the highest gpa in the sophomore class.
